Windsurfing: Westward Ho! Wind Direction: Wind Stength: F5-7 Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered:
AFter a 12 hour night shift it was straight down to Westward Ho! to meet
Johno. When we got there is was Drizzling & cross off F2, With in a few mins
it started to swing SW & pick upto bout 14knts.Rigged big kit & got on
whilst lots of people stood & watched,it was full hgh tide with no
beach.
After 2 runs the 5.7 started feeling a bit much, the big board bouncing a
bout, the swell out the back was nice, shapping up for a good day.
Came in & changed down board but kept 5.7, was feeling knackered
already.
The tide was now dropping & the waves picking up with more white water.the
5.7 now far too much,by now most people were getting on.
Got off once again(the pebble beach feeling like a mountain) & changed down
to 5.0 Johno was also changing down to 4.7
The conditions were now Excellent big waves on the inside & the big swells
on the outside were half mast & some 3/4's, it was nice to be on the
outside riding the swells with John to gauge the size.
The wind was continuing to pick-up.Should have gone & got small board but
if i had walked back up the now long walk & over the mountain dont think i
would have had any energy left to walk back.
A excellent day with nice effortless gybes on huge swells, Big jumps, Nice
wave rides, A few rinseings.Made monday at weymouth seem like a warm up for
today....
